Young Aleut Dancers

I'm sorry for not writing anything for two days. But during those two days I really thought about the Aleut dancing. The dance, Unangam Saaquda, was made by many of the earlier Sand Point Aleut dance group. When I was apart of making this song, I was very young but that was the easiest way to learn how. To learn when you are young is a remarkable experience. So my thought is that to keep your cultural traditions alive, teach you children and grandchildren when they are very young. I started to learn about the Aleut culture when I was five-years-old. It's been a wonderful experience ever since. So, I insist that if you would like the younger generation to learn their culture, start teaching them now. In Sand Point we teach our younger generation about the Aleut culture, especially Aleut dancing. Above is a video of the Younger children dancing at Sand Point Culture Camp.
